During the internship period, activities related to control, production, and quality projects were carried out at Formex Automotive Industries, S.A. de C.V.During the first three months, training was received from control specialist engineers in the use of Studio 5000, Ignition and Power BI software, as well as the use of the MQTT messaging protocol. Aditionally, industrial concepts related to the automotive industry and lean manufacturing were studied, all these resources together were essential for monitoring the status of various stations on the production lines. In the event of any issues with the HMIs, knowing how to detect faults and quickly provide solutions by modifying the PLC logic in Studio 5000 or redirecting tags in Ignition's Designer, ensuring production continuity and avoiding downtime.During the following three months, there was a focus on Power BI visualization projects in collaboration with the Quality department in Hydroforming. These projects were presented to the Hydroforming Director to keep him informed about the indicators and production progress more conveniently, accessing these projects through a web link. Aditionally, in collaboration with the control engineers of Hydroforming, Power BI visualization projects were conducted focused on the status of the Hydroforming presses to monitor the pressure force exerted during pressing, as well as emulsion levels.The professional residency project was also carried out in the Hydroforming area, implementing predictive maintenance on the furnace burners of one of the Hot Stamping production lines.

Implementation of the mLean management system through apps installed on iPads that allow the GAP leaders, Supervisors and Managers to carry out different daily tasks, referring to standards and methodologies for compliance with routines, PDCA and improvement ideas. As well as defining work standards and conducting audits to verifiy cycle times, and identify bottlenecks to make modifications to production processes.Through video conferences with mLean developers, I acquired the knowledge to learn about the different apps integrated into iPads, and how to use them in the production area, with the objective of training GAP leaders, Supervisors and Managers, providing them with iPads so they could practice and use them during the day. The application of this project allowed us to improve and streamline daily production tasks, gradually eliminating the use of printed formats and promoting the concept of "Paper less" to create a new work model focused on continuous improvement.I also participated in production projects for equipment optimization applying control and automation concepts.

Management activities using Excel to control the availability of spare parts in the warehouse, based on part numbers, manufacturer, type of spare part, etc. As well as updating the customer service website to expand the catalog of available products, introducing cabinets for electrical installations, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic components.
