Designing tracking/fix tilt PV system tailored to the client’s needs, as well as preparing deliverables for tenders with applicable building codes, while providing engineering support to the BD manager from Australia and South Africa.• Perform engineering analysis, including structural calculations for company’s products, in accordance with applicable codes and standards for Australia (AU/NZ1170) and South Africa (SANS 10160, ASCE7-10).• Support Sales Staff in performing preliminary project analysis, estimating material take-offs, and responding to technical questions.• Evaluate inbound documentation to identify potential hurdles to successful project completion and interface with company staff, client commercial and technical personnel.• Draft technical prequalification documents (plans, assembly drawings, and details) for ground mounted solar racking systems.• Propose, design and validate new ways of reducing the total amount of structural material in racking systems to reduce the overall cost of the system without compromise to quality.

Providing engineering support in the construction, retrofit and commissioning stage of three different PV plants across Australia:- Gangarri Solar Farm: 145 MW DC- Cohuna Solar Farm: 34 MW DC- Tailem Bend 2 Solar Farm: 117 MW DC-Supporting customers across Australia by providing engineering solutions while ensuring outstanding customer experience and engagement.-Development and optimization of tracker layouts and CAD drawings ensuring technical compliance and product optimization.-Conducing value engineering exercises to reduce costs on a project basis-Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with the PM, site supervisor, Commissioning team, Client’s PM and technical departments as well as any other stakeholders involved in the development of the project (internal and external)-Working with Soltec’s PM to ensure the construction schedule is met.-Liaising with Soltec’s headquarters engineering department and subcontractors to ensure customer’s expectations are met.-Assisting the PM in the control of execution, scheduling and planning of activities, as well as development of ITP, ITC and SOW development and NC resolution.

Supporting the mechanical installation of a 210 MWDC PV Plant in regional QLD by being responsible for the QA/QC management, project engineering, KPIs, processes, and site office administration.- Providing support for engineering specifications.- Supporting on site the project manager.- Leading a team of 7 people of QA/QC inspectors to ensure the proper quality on site is reached.- Reporting on project deliverables, performance of labourers and quality assurance KPIs.- Implementing the Quality Management plan and Quality Control strategies to fulfil all the contract requirements.-Supporting the construction team and report any deviation in quality. - Monitoring the project performance and process with internal and external stakeholders.- Organising and establishing a documentary protocol, document updating and revision ie: ITP, ITC, Manuals.

Providing technical support, MRO services and training operators to maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and control systems.- Installing, testing, repairing and maintaining hydraulic systems, control systems, electronic system and mechanical components of automotive equipment.- Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions.- Planning and executing scheduled and emergency services and mechanical breakdowns.- Providing training to 150+ operators for the safe and adequate operation of equipment.

Managing machinery and infrastructure projects, and teams of 35+ people, as well as the preventive and predictive maintenance department and its finance.- Managing projects for acquisition of new equipment, electrical process upgrades, developing infrastructure and setting up substations and distribution systems. - Responsible for budget controlling reducing over costs and implementing savings initiatives.- Improving the preventive and predictive maintenance program for plant and equipment by implementing the RCM framework.- Ensuring compliance of HSE policies, ISO standards, QA, QC and quality management processes and procedures.- Managing building management services (BMS): painting, plumbing, facilities management and renovations - Conducting root cause and failure analysis in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems reducing recurrence.- Leading a team of 35 people including engineers, technicians and contractors Managing project deliverables, performance, work orders, SLAs, project viability.
