Responsible for designing, developing and managing the infrastructure that delivers managed services within target client environments. The position also includes the use of desktop and server automation tools, server infrastructure builds and deployment, AD management and integration as well as patch management and software deployment for Fujitsu and their clients in Australia and New Zealand.- Working on large scale projects designing, implementing and supporting SCCM 2007/2012 solutions.- Preparing technical company documentation (SoW, HLD, LLD, As Built, step-by-step implementation, etc.)- Managing and maintaining Active Directory (AD) infrastructure and security.- Configuring/maintaining Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems (2003/2008/2012, XP, 7, 8)- Automating configuration tasks using PowerShell with the System Center Suite to increase efficiency.- Providing physical and virtual application servers hardware designs and specifications.- Building, managing and maintaining products with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 databases.- Assisting other teams within the organisation to meet their deliverables; acting as the “go-to” person for the SOE, desktop, server, asset management and projects teams.- Providing work estimate breakdowns for various projects along with written quotes to stakeholders.- Communicating affectively with business stakeholders, technical staff and end users.- Working with the ITIL v3 framework writing change requests for project work and meeting incident SLAs.- Organising and participating in social events for and with the Melbourne staff on behalf of the team.- Providing On-Call support for out of hours issues on a rotating roster

Job PurposeTo service desktop and SOE related projects. To develop desktop Standard Operating Environment (SOE) architectures for outsourced IT service environments for remote supportability. To package applications into MSI format for delivery into an managed desktop environment. To develop and refine support and maintenance processes for standardisation across multiple customers. To provide 3rd level support and escalation point for Desktop Services for critical environmental issues, problem cases and SOE design faults.Key ResponsibilitiesSOE Design- Develop, document, implement and maintain the desktop standard operating environments (SOEs)- Design SOE models for image deployment, software integration and delivery, inventory and reporting and ongoing maintenance.- Research new technologies for incorporation into future desktop SOE designs.- Packaging of desktop applications for integration into software delivery systems.- Develop training material and perform training of internal Desktop Support engineers.- Assist with the development and enhancement of relevant standards, procedures and guidelines.- Identify and raise service improvement initiatives to management for discussion.Projects- Assume the role of technical leader or design engineer in SOE deployment/refresh projects.- Be the technical implementation engineer for any desktop associated projects.General- Maintain and contribute to documentation tasks.- After hours and/or weekend work may be required.- Complete time recording processes for work performed as required.
