Project engineer for the Columbus, Ohio branch of Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) in the Engineering Services division. My main tasks included working on engineering solutions for the power grid, varying between automation, protection, and cybersecurity for electric utilities.Examples of my work include: Designing data concentrator HMI packages, automated power grid controllers, upgrading cybersecurity standards for substations, and designing new protection schemes for electric utilities.Throughout my role, I wrote and executed project test plans to adhere to customer requirements and industry standards and regulations. I frequently communicated with clients to ensure project quality, both remotely and in-person. I successfully completed customer site visits to commission projects.

Examples of my work as an intern at SEL included: Designing and upgrading substation sections to implement SEL devices, developing data automation schemes for the SEL Real-Time Automation Controller (RTAC), and designing HMI screens to be used with SEL products.
