Much of this has been at times of significant clinical and financial pressure where dramatic change and innovation was required to maintain service delivery. Close collaboration with other Departments and providers involved in emergency care has led to a number of successful system changes that have improved patient care and efficiency. These include the introdution of senior led rapid assessment systems within ED, development of pathways for emergency surgery and orthopaedics to avoid admissiona and deliver planned outpatient emergency procedures, as well as the introduction of a novel pathway for the management of chest pain. He is dedicated to continuous improvement in the way in which care is delivered.
