As part of this role I worked closely with the Education and Training Foundation in organising and facilitating their annual Research Development Fellowship Programme. This programme aided practitioners from the FE Sector to complete research that would have a long lasting impact on teaching, learning and assessment. My work as a Research Assistant was varied. I worked with the PGCE PCET team at the time to explore methods for improving the number of "Grade 1" or "Outstanding" student teachers. The "Outstanding Teacher" project was commented on by Ofsted during their 2015 inspection. The Ofsted report complimented the PGCE PCET programme for this research-informed approach to improving teaching, learning and assessment.

I worked with Undergraduate Creative Writing Students to help them hone their craft. I focused on developing their ability as Playwrights, however I also worked with students quite closely to aid them in their prose and poetry. During this time I also taught Irish Drama to Undergraduate Students, focusing on the works of Yeats, Devlin, Friel, Carr, Behan and Beckett.
