Alice Queen Limited (ASX: AQX) is an Australian minerals exploration company with an exciting portfolio of gold / copper-gold projects located in the Northern Molong Volcanic Belt in New South Wales, Horn Island in the Torres Strait and Fiji.I bring my knowledge and expertise of the corporate world, as well as skills in business management and stakeholder relations, to the role of Managing Director at Alice Queen.Our Horn Island Project is particularly exciting. The Project is located on Horn Island and hosts a previously operating gold mine which ceased operation in 1989, and Alice Queen has declared an Inferred Resource (JORC 2012) 7.9Mt @ 1.9g/t Au for 492,000oz for an area adjacent to the abandoned Horn Island Pit. The geology is promising and supported by strong existing infrastructure, including the Horn Island Airport, deep water port serviced by Sea Swift and the Loggy Creek Dam.We have a strong relationship with the local traditional owners, the Kaurareg people, via a joint venture company known as Kauraru Gold Pty Ltd. In this way, not only will the shareholders of Kauraru benefit, but additional extensive benefits will be delivered to the Kaurareg people.In March 2021, Alice Queen entered an agreement to acquire 100% of Fiji-domiciled exploration company Viti Pte Mining Limited, which held two prospective Fiji Special Prospecting Licences, SPL 1514 Nabila and SPL 1513, Viani. Fiji has a long history of gold mining and is a coveted address for precious metals exploration.In addition, we have assembled an experienced team of mining executives with the requisite corporate and technical skills, along with a broad base of investors.My personal goal for the project is to continue to build investment interest and see the project right through mine development and thus become an active gold producer.
