EMBL-EBI's Facilities and Health & Safety Office is concerned with all work-related aspects of safety and the working environment. Among its tasks are new starter procedures, workplace assessments and conducting safety training. Building fire protection as well as technical building and common safety also fall within the teams areas of expertise.Other responsibilities include all maintenance service areas: gas, water, plumbing, electricity, air-conditioning, waste disposal and caretaking services. Staff and furniture relocations also come under the team's remit.
