As a medical scribe, I assisted the resident and attending physicians with the documentation of patient medical information. The documented information included any past medical history of the patients, as well as any information pertaining to the reason for their visit to the Emergency Department, such as any complaints or symptoms they might have been experiencing during their visit. Throughout my time as a medical scribe, I increased my knowledge of medical sciences and medical terminology, and gained experience working in a matrix-organized environment.

This position is responsible for providing research and support to the equity and fixed income portfolio managers. Past projects have included asset class research, equity evaluations, sensitivity analysis and building stock valuation models. In addition, analysis on actual client portfolios and new business prospects offers real life experience in the investment industry. I work closely with our Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and other key members of the investment team. I am provided full access to all of the available research tools and databases including Bloomberg, Morningstar and ValueLine. Interns are also included in investment meetings to observe and present findings to the firm during weekly staff meetings.
