Assist with titrations, coral husbandry, zooxanthellae counts, chlorophyll extractions, and other field work; develop and conduct marine fish population assessment analyses by graphing fish abundance and biomass (done annually Kauai); Participate in Hanauma Covid-19 Closure Fish Study 2020 focusing on data collection, survey design, and behavioral analyses of fish/marine life behavior to understand the effect of humans on marine population at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve as measured by fish flight initiation distance and size class. Assist with data collection for the development of the new Hawaiian Ko‘a Card – Coral Health Assessment Tool. Presented and educated communities on Kauai, Maui, Oahu, and Hawaii. Research project investigating the effects of global warming and acidification on coral reef communities by examining responses of entire suites of reef organisms recruiting onto Autonomous Reef Monitoring Structures (ARMS) to understand how temperature and pH affect the growth of coral. Duties include: • Examining settlement on ARMS plates placed within Mesocosm experiments. • Assist with ARMS plate imagery and analysis using the programs ImageJ and Coralnet. • Perform lab work conducted at Coconut Island and Ford Island. • Perform water sample titrations measuring the water quality and alkalinity. • Assist with field work by placing settlement traps and temperature loggers on the reef around Coconut Island.

•Responsible for supervision of swimmers to ensure that they are safe and swimming within the safety protocols.•Skills include: water rescue, accident prevention, water-safety procedures, standard first aid, and CPR.•Swim instructor at the swim club for inexperienced swimmers. Required individual attention to children and one on one work in order to help them learn how to swim.•Overall pool maintenance including checking water pH and chlorine levels and the set up and clean up of pool grounds

• After school program for students from first grade to fifth grade. Supervised a class of about 20 students and had to work with them with their homework assignments.
