I am an experienced Naval Aviator whose background includes two workup cycles and deployments as part of Carrier Air Wing 11 aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt. In addition, I have participated in both a RIMPAC exercise as well as multiple Northern Edge exercises. I am fully qualified in all tactical syllabi for the MH-60S. I have spent multiple years of his career as a division officer, each time overseeing a group of over 20 direct-reports. I have managed various squadron programs to include Communications Security, Laser Safety, Foreign Object Damage and Plane Captain. Furthermore, I have been a unit Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization Officer, personally ensuring a high level of aviation knowledge and pilot proficiency within my unit. Most recently, I have served as a Public Affairs Officer and Future Operations Officer and an Assistant Training Officer, managing syllabi and curriculum execution for over 100 students. These positions have all been held concurrently with serving as an instructor pilot at HSC-3, the west-coast Fleet Replenishment Squadron for the MH-60S. While serving in the Navy, I have been a Sexual Assault Victim Advocate and currently work as a community editor for the Naval Helicopter Association’s Rotor Review magazine. I have assisted as an event coordinator for the 2022 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Symposium as well as both the 2022 and 2023 Naval Helicopter Association Symposiums. I have a long history of experience in public speaking in various scenarios from theatre to work functions to funerals and have addressed audiences of over 1,500 people in the past. I am an active member of Plus One Flyer’s club where I pilot the Cessna 172.
