• Hired by the Department of Mechanical Engineering via the NASA Florida Space Grant Consortium. Performed computational analyses of crack initiation and propagation using extended finite element method (XFEM) algorithms in MATLAB and modified open-source programs to perform novel simulations of crack behavior at the interface of dissimilar materials.• Published a research paper on the computational analysis of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) via the ASME 2022 International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition. • Utilized the computer-assisted design (CAD) software SOLIDWORKS to design over 50 individual 3D models.• Performed computer-assisted manufacturing (CAM) via computer numeric control (CNC) mills and routers to fabricate more than 20 unique components out of bulk aluminum.• Conducted rapid prototyping of fused filament fabrication (FFF) 3D-printed parts using various materials including PLA, ABS, and Nylon-Carbon Fiber.• Programmed filament deposition manufacturing (FDM) 3D printers using Arduino IDE and Marlin firmware and modified two Creality CR10S units to have dual-nozzle printing capability.• Constructed FDM 3D printer assemblies ranging in scale from tabletop to industrial printers.• Operated Matsuura VX-1000 Vertical Machining Center, X-Carve Pro CNC Router, Thermwood Multipurpose 43 Three-Axis CNC Router, and various FDM 3D printers.• Interfaced with both domestic and international third-party vendors regarding equipment orders, made-to-order component fabrication, and peripheral configuration.
