Admiral Farragut’s Cunzhi Jiade Bilingual Academy utilized my expertise in AP curriculum, ESL learning strategies, and 21st century technology to build and implement an interactive pre-AP upper school curriculum for grades 10 and 11. Structured and scaffolded according to the principles of Bloom’s taxonomy and project-based learning, each lesson unit culminated with a student presentation of a productive task to the school faculty. Each student completed 16 project presentations during the academic year regarding the following: fiction writing, independent research, visual arts, song-writing, game development, film-making, and speech-writing.

BASIS utilized my expertise in AP curriculum and ESL learning strategies to build and implement an interactive curriculum for BASIS grade 7 and grade 9. Although over 100% of students are second language speakers and have never attended an international before, grade 9 students saw a 57% increase in AP writing prompt scores from beginning to the end of the year (2 point increase in class average from 3.5 in T1 to 5.5 in T3).

NCEPU utilized my expertise in liberal arts teaching methodologies and curriculum development in the following courses: Origins of Western Literature and Literary Theory (postgraduate); American Literature, Western Culture, Intermediate Spoken English, and Advanced Spoken English (undergraduate).
