I worked at Johnny's Pizza over the summer and received training on the toast system, which is the system we use to process orders and dispatch drivers. I worked as a delivery driver and became proficient in the use of the toast system, navigation, and time management. whenever we had a new guy coming in I would train him on the toast system, how to wash dishes, how to read tickets, and how to run doubles, which is when we are busy and have to deliver two orders at once. I became good at using google maps and learned a lot of valuable leadership skills while training the new guys. I enjoyed the laid-back management treating me as a team member and not an employee.

I worked landscaping at Jarema Landscaping over the summer where I learned about new tools and hard work. I was in charge of edging and weed-whacking the residential and commercial properties we managed. I oversaw a group of two and trained them on the tools and the appropriate procedure of the company. This job taught me the value of hard work as we would wake up at six am and come home around nine pm.
