I have worked in marketing & communication for more than 12 years, first as a sports reporter before transitioning into highlighting what makes organizations unique. I love storytelling, strategically creating content and helping build culture within a company through writing, visuals, or other creative means.At Crane Aerospace & Electronics, I support our business by educating customers on our wide range of capabilities. As a diverse manufacturer of highly engineered components and systems, I get to tell a compelling and complex story about solutions ranging from brake control systems for Boeing jets to power conversion components featured on the Mars Perseverance rover. I also help strategically communicate to employees at our six U.S. facilities and two international facilities the real-word impact our products have.Before Crane A&E, where I’ve gained a passion for the aerospace & defense industry, I had the privilege of promoting a great mission for the nonprofit, Evergreen Goodwill, which has more than 20 retail locations and several job training centers throughout the north and central Puget Sound. I helped explain the impact of Goodwill donations and shined a light on the amazing stories of students who took Goodwill classes and transformed their lives because of them.Before diving into marketing & communications, my deadline-driven mindset, writing skill, editing and relationship-building capability was developed as a sports reporter for Snohomish County and Whatcom County media outlets. I covered 3-to-4 news beats a season, wrote in-depth feature stories, edited copy, designed sports pages for print publication and learned to hit deadlines, even if that meant hoping a stadium fence at 10:30 p.m. to dash to McDonald’s for their Wi-Fi after getting locked inside a stadium because the janitor had thought everyone had left. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I achieved one of my ultimate goals as a sports reporter when I was with The Everett Herald – getting to cover Seahawks games for several seasons. When I'm not working, I'm either catching a game, enjoying the outdoors, or traveling to my daughter’s basketball tournaments. I look forward to connecting!
