Angus & Associates is a provider of research, marketing and strategic planning services in the tourism and leisure industries. In my role of Project Manager, I work with a range of organisations to help create data and insight based strategies. The nature of my role requires consistent delivering of high value outcomes to our clients, having worked with private organisations and industry associations, to government organisations and major New Zealand events.

My position as the International Marketing Manager entailed developing the strategy for, and implementing entry into the South East Asian and South Asian international student markets. While in this role, successful entry into the Indonesian student market was achieved signing a memorandum of understanding with a major Indonesian university and subsequently creating a joint short course programme.

My position within the trust revolved around the use of the proprietary client relationship management (CRM) system - ensuring the system was being fully optimized among all staff members.

This position began as a research field staff member collecting responses from visitors and event goers in relation to their experience in the region or of a specific event. This position often involved approaching international visitors of which English was their second language; a strong focus on adapting, cross-cultural communication and at times, patience. This position acted as the face of the company, with direct contact with members of the public. Clear communication skills and the ability to quickly build relationships were core to this position. During my employment I was able to demonstrate my ability to adhere to guidelines and the high standard of communication and presentation required by the company.
