I gained my PhD in Psychology at Southampton Solent University. I have now retired as Principal Academic at Bournemouth University, where I taught clinical psychology, with a particular focus on mental health. I am still a mental health campaigner and manage several local and national charities. I have a strong interest in perinatal mental health (for mothers and for fathers) and for young people. I am Patron for Dorset Mind and for Samaritans of Bournemouth & District. I am Trustee for DoPIP. I am a Fellow of the RSA, as a reflection of my work with mental health.
