CLKS Media build iOS and Android applications that can be adapted to be embedded into any mobile phone application to capture images to send to image matching technology. It is a cloud based image recognition service that works together with the iOS and Android applications. CLKS Media, in conjunction with News Corp Australia, launched a Newsclick application as a trial to provide integrated digital features to readers of its print products. I was the project lead and Project Manager on the CLKS Media side of the project. This was a rapid roll out, requiring the rebranding of an existing application to the News Corp brand. The National Prepress rollout of MediaSpectrum has introduced technological benefits to News Limited Australia Wide and has enabled the centralisation of job functions at a national level. Following on from successful implementations in NSW, I have led the delivery of this solution into Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and currently in the process of delivering to Tasmania and Perth. Key Functions of this role have been:• Data extraction and conversion via SQL Queries.• Documentation – Business and Technical.• Process Mapping.• Report Development.• Workflow coding.• Development of Technical solutions for State based file delivery.• Working with System Architects on solutions.• Regression, SIT and UAT testing.• Development and implementation of an offshore workflow.• Coordinate Indesign CS upgrade for all users from a mixture of CS2 and CS3 to CS5.5 The project has delivered all of its key objectives incorporating a major upgrade to the software release that I was also Lead on.
