• Co-led the review of the Information and Communications Standards Development Committee;• Co-led the Ministry’s regulatory transformation strategy including drafting creative legislative and regulatory amendments intended to increase the efficiency and utilize modern regulatory best practices.• Led the repeal and remediation strategy for the Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001.

• Led the review of over 650 different Ontario statutes and regulations for accessibility barriers in legislation and presented the results to the Legal Directors Committee (Attorney General’s Office);• Developed an Ontario Public Service wide Accessible Legislation Review Tool and User Guide, which are posted internally and used by legal and policy staff to screen for barriers to inclusion in legislation, regulation and employment, procurement and other policies;• Led the design of a new ADO Internship Pilot Program designed to target the hiring of youth with disabilities, which has since been adapted by the Workplace Safety Insurance Board (WSIB);• Led the OPS-wide Accessible Procurement file reviewing the OPS Procurement Directive, ministry practices, providing advice on inter-jurisdictional best practices, attending seminars, conferences and workshops, and identifying ways to embed accessibility at source;• Reviewed the accommodation practices across the province and developed a new Accommodation policy using a breadth of employment and human rights case law.

• Worked with the Regulatory and Agency Branch performing agency oversight work, corporate governance, business planning and legal regulatory research related to the Ontario Energy Board, the Independent Electricity System Operator, and I personally managed the corporate reporting for the corporate affairs and governance of Hydro One Brampton Inc.;• Co-led consultations with First Nations (Chiefs of Ontario), utilities and other stakeholders to draft the First Nations Delivery Credit Regulation;• Co-led the development of Legislative and Regulatory Committee materials for the Ontario Fair Hydro Plan Act, Ontario Rebate for Electricity Consumers Act and accompanying regulations.

• Experience in all aspects of the legislative process including; attending committee hearings, preparing Legislative and Regulation Committee packages, filing regulations, preparing cabinet submissions and supporting material;• Amended, drafted, and reviewed contracts including procurement contracts, transfer payment agreements and executive compensation packages while managing client expectations and working within tight timelines;• Performed research and analysis into a broad array of different legal and socio-economic issues relating to the province’s Energy and Infrastructure portfolio, including trademark disputes, human rights complaints related to smart meters and indigenous Impact Benefit Agreements;• Legal Review Team 2016 – Nominated for an MEDG EDDIE Award as part of the legal service branch review team reviewing, classifying and categorizing every grant, loan and transfer payment agreement disseminated since 2003.

• Worked with counsel to perform research, draft legal opinions and prepare documents for hearings/litigation. • Performed tasks associated with the regulation of the province’s energy and real estate portfolio’s involving the preparation of briefs, slide decks, memoranda, etc.
