Achievements include• Key member of the team identifying and implementing the key profit improvement plan tasks: - route to market - design to cost• Creating working relationships with the key sales and production unit staff to facilitate the change in route to market.• Set up of divisional reporting infrastructureIn 2007, I was appointed Finance Director of the £190m Sandvik Mobiles business created from the combined Extec and Fintec acquisitions with 30 staff across 2 manufacturing sitesAchievements include• Key member of the management team responsible for managing the business through a significant downsizing exercise.• 6 month secondment as Managing Director of SMC UK (£28m turnover).• Creation of and implementation of the integration plan for Extec and Fintec into the Sandvik business structure including sale/closure of companies in USA and Australia and transfer of the German business.• Maintenance of morale and staff retention through a period of instability• Improved corporate governance to meet Sandvik’s exacting standards
