Perform a variety of analytical chemistry and microbiological techniques for environmental samples in accordance with laboratory SOP and Standard Methods • Extensive experience using LIMS software • Analyze NYS proficiency tests to maintain laboratory ELAP and NYDOH certifications • Responsible for ensuring the laboratory is audit ready for government agencies • Direct experience participating in audits performed by New York State Department of Health • Execute laboratory investigations and resolve issues when appropriate • Assisted laboratory manager in writing SOP’s and compiling QC data for certification for new analytical methods • Train and supervise new laboratory employees • Coordinate samples for testing by outside contract laboratoriesCustomer Service o Interface with clients to determine the appropriate services they require and provide the interpretation of the results o Provide guidance for sampling and testing requirements for NYS public water systems in accordance with Part 5, subpart 5-1 o Provide consultation with water plant operators concerning SPDES permit requirements
