A customer facing role that saw me become one of the longest serving employees. I worked within the daily operations ranging from maintaining the aesthetic of the cinema itself to ensuring that guests receive the best experience possible. The rotational nature of the job allowed me to work within ticket sales, food and beverage management and direct customer relations. The position involved shift work and a requirement to work unsociable hours of which I became readily accustomed to. Upon induction of new staff, I was tasked to train them in the day to day running of the business until they were sufficiently prepared to conduct the job. I learnt to work very well under pressure due to incredibly high footfall and quick turnarounds of cinema screen usage, which increased heavily during school break periods, new movie releases and national holidays.
