I had many offshore roles on the Greater Gabbard wind farm mainly involving the generators on the project. Started working offshore as a Tech, Re-fueling,maintenance,Generator Service tech, Which involved general maintenance on the turbines, Service/fixing the generators etc.The office work was mainly being charge of all generator/fuel issues offshore on the project, Which involved daily meeting with the client and project managers to make sure my team was running to project dates,solve any issues,Plan future work on the project. I then went on to Work as a Marine Co-ordinator on the project I was part of a small tight team controlling all aspects of wind farm vessel management including vessel suitability, through to crew management, berthing control and daily passenger manifests etc. Prepare and use real time passenger tracking system throughout the day. Liaise with project management regularly to ensure technicians are in the right place and that the project is running smoothly and safely. Constantly monitor the weather and liaise with the Met office for for imminent changes or hazards, ( fog, lightning etc).
