I was born in Broken Hill as the second eldest of five kids.I was raised in the 'hill but was sent off to boarding school in Adelaide to have the rough edges dusted off. When I returned home I wanted some quick cash, so I started on the mines at 17 years of age and went underground at 18, where I spent 10 years. Itchy feet lead me to Adelaide where I studied for a Travel Agent certificate.I returned to the 'hill where I spent the next 10 years in the travel industry during which time I spent five years as an Overseas Tour Guide escorting groups to Europe, USA, Canada, Africa and the UK.While I was in 'travel' I started working part time at a commercial radio station in the 'hill where I was a sports announcer while presenting a Friday night sports show on local television.My interests outside of work include acting as the Vice President St Patrick's Race Club (which I reckon is the best race meeting in the country) and as a Board memvber of AFL Broken Hill. But most of all I just love having a good time with friends, listening to music, going to the movies, and of course, being involved in sport.Andrew presents breakfast from 5.55 each weekday morning, as well as being the station manager.
