I design & build web products. Design from UX/UI, branding, art direction, and content perspectives; and coding mainly in NextJS w/ Tailwind.

Very stoked to have been a part of an amazing team at @investorhub, immensely impressed by how they've built their products & business. Was hired as a mid-level software engineer - I spent my time crafting UI for a website builder for their listed company customers, adding to their APIs w/ GraphQL (Apollo / Absinthe), and working on backend w/ Phoenix / Elixir. Unfortunately with change of management they decided they needed someone with a software engineering degree so they let me go! Oh well :). Had a lot of fun and met some really great people.

I led the product design (website, web app, mobile), built websites and web apps (ReactJS, NextJS, Tailwind CSS), and help direct product & feature prioritisation for Playmaker Labs' two main products: crichq.com and myactionsport.com. I worked remotely, but closely with their developers, salespeople, and leadership team to do everything creative required: copywriting, pitch decks, branding, android & iOS app design, websites, web apps, mobile apps, and lots of graphic design — and also am part of their Web Development team.

Over 2 years at Pricemaker as Head of Brand, my role was everything creative and comms.I designed and refined the core product and its'​ processes, creative directed the iOS app, wrote and designed all content for the website and all collateral (B2B and B2C) — all of which contributed toward developing the Pricemaker brand. I also worked incessantly as a copywriter and marketer, and managed our social and store channels.Over my time at Pricemaker, we raised more than 7-figures privately, and in June '14 Fairfax Media NZ invested a significant sum of money into Pricemaker, which put me in charge of a 7-figure marketing budget.

We were a mixed media, advertising, marketing, branding, PR and all round creative communications and visual communications agency. Our ethos was that questioning what people think, as well as talking through to the roots of a problem, help guide creative executions towards the right outcome. We put strong emphasis on personalising client-to-agency relationships, by having you (as a client) work entirely with one team of multi-skilled people (as opposed to departmentalising different skill sets).Unfortunately, we ran out of money, and since we didn't have years of worldly experience, we found it too difficult to earn the respect and trust required to provide the full package as we so desired. I learnt a lot, and have no regrets.
