As a former federal prosecutor, employed for the past 26 years as an Assistant United States Attorney with the Department of Justice in the Eastern District of Texas, Plano, I have a unique insiders knowledge of how federal cases are investigated and prosecuted. I recently joined the Whalen Law Office in February 2024, where I now use this extensive experience as defense counsel with my primary focus in federal investigation and prosecution defense of white-collar crimes including bank, bankruptcy, mail, wire, health care, trade secrets, securities and tax fraud schemes. In addition to providing a federal defense for these offenses I also have experience in handling cases involving prohibited gambling businesses, internal investigations and government investigations for personal, business and corporate clients. This includes coordinating responses where a federal grand jury subpoena or a Civil Investigative Demand is received.
