Supporting the Central and Northwest Regions of Hartford Healthcare from a medical device life cycle management perspective. Overseeing a major patient monitoring conversion from Phillips to a new GE Platform. Leading the rollout and system administration for Hartford Healthcare's biomedical asset management system, Nuvolo (ServiceNow).

In this hybrid Biomed / Integrations Engineer role I support the clinical equipment for a multi-million-dollar Neurophysiology department and their Level 4 Comprehensive Epilepsy Center. Provide timely and thorough troubleshooting support to Neurophysiology partners across the care continuum, from offsite offices, outpatient clinics, and the NeuroICU. Maintain a thorough log of department’s ongoing technical problems in order to find timely solutions and document projects to communicate progress to Neuro- management and clinician partners. Oversaw enterprise-wide diagnostic software upgrades and updates for the EEG and EMG applications as well as the HL7 interface between hospital EMR (Epic) and the EEG application. Worked with IT colleagues to ensure Neuro- applications adhered to the highest level of security standards for patient safety and confidentiality. Assisted in the development and approval of vendor service contracts using business analytics and accounting for clinical needs.

Clinical Engineer at Yale New Haven Hospital in association with the University of Connecticut's biomedical engineering clinical internship program.Working closely with the YNHH CE management team, apply engineering problem-solving to the management of medical devices and technology across the health system and throughout the medical device lifecycle. Hands-on experience with medical devices, assisting Biomed Technicians with both corrective and preventative maintenance. Coordinate several equipment replacement projects including patient monitoring and defibrillators, from planning to implementation. Oversaw TJC accreditation surveys at multiple YNHHS facilities. Assisted COVID-19 response and ICU expansion through installation of medical technology and coordinated swift deployment of ventilators to Florida as part of the AHA’s DVR program.

Manage a residence hall of over 130 sophomore and junior undergraduate students. Develop events and educational programs promoting; diversity and discovery, inspiration and support for the future, social development and sense of community; all while appropriately managing a set amount of provided university funds. Enforce university health, safety, and conduct codes; mediate personal, disciplinary, and academic conflicts pertaining to residents; work nontraditional hours, including 72hr on-call weekends once a month, in order to be an available resource to residents; assist in the selection, training, and evaluation of newly hired staff; be present as an inspirational, dependable, influential, supportive, yet challenging primary contact resource.
