AACL is a funds management company that attracted capital from investors and then contracted farmers to grow crops on their behalf. My role at AACL was to hedge and market the 350 000mt plus of wheat, barley and canola produced by the contracted farmers. I was also involved in managing the underlying MIS scheme as well as ongoing development of systems to support grain marketing and accounting of the MIS.
