After coming home to Merthyr i decided i wanted to stay to be close to my family.I took this job so i could return am set up a home in Merthyr.The company is a supplier of filing cabernets and draws. This was another interesting job as i didn't know how they finished off the product and to see and work on robotic arms and huge folding presses was something i had not done.Responsibilities:-• Ensure the all the spray booths are clean and free from any contamination.• Ensure the correct colour is in all the automatic spray machines.• Dealing with and fixing any rejects that are produced.• Keeping detailed documents on quantity and position of the rejects for scrap analysis.Achievements included:-• Getting to help with the daily targets.• Being able to spray the powdered paint to a very high standard by hand as well as using the spraying machines.• Keeping the section clean to a high standard.

I worked for Sky as a sub contractor, Again this was a great opportunity to use the skills i had leant to put into practice.As i was from a engineering background i found the job enjoyable, I challenged myself to find the best cable run so it would be the lest visible and to get the cables as straight as possible.When i Ireland helping to run a small business i thrived on the additional responsibility. Responsibilities:-• Ensure that all the customers are happy with the installation of the equipment.• Make a detailed demonstration on how to use the equipment that you have installed.• Set up the equipment to the way the customer would like it.• Dealing with customer complaints.• Assigning work to the other engineers.Achievements included:-• Having great people skills enabled me to get the demonstrations done without many questions.• Dealing with all aspects of complaints from customers.• Sent to Southern Ireland to help set up and run the branch in Ireland which got off to a great success.• Running a small business. • Able to take on and understand the newest technology and explain it to all.• Also we installed C.C.T.V. and Intruder Alarm as well as T.V. aerials

This was my first roll out of collage in the big bad working world. I worked on lots of different projects within the company.This roll took myself to places within the group to maintain and repair different machinery, as a young technician exposer to different machines in different environments I found exciting and challenging and loved every minute of this.This included maintenance of all garment cutting machines including; Gerber cutter, Rimoldi Spreading Machine, Rimoldi Strip Cutter, Krauss Wide Fabric Spreader.I needed to operate the cutting machines to produce fabric parts for production. Including the Lace Cutter &Clicker Press to ensure that it functions correctly before passing this on to production.Unfortunately the company could not continue as their only customer moved production abroad.The last few months we were sent to strip and pack the machines up to be sent to the plants around Europe. Again this was a great experience for myself to uninstall machinery and make sure that it could be easily assembled at the other end.
