Overseeing all transportation activities at our Erie, Crawford, Mercer, Warren, Clarion, Clearfield, & Venango county centers, which include:-Managing a fleet of 60+vehicles. These vehicles range from Wheelchair accessible lift vans for our participants to corporate vehicles used for travel between our 7 centers. -Managing 40+ drivers, dispatchers, and utility positions across our 12 counties.-Daily interaction with contractors that we utilize to provide service to our vehicles. -Managing the allocated budget and making recommendations to Executive Director and CEO. -Arranging purchase of new fleet vehicles approved by Executive Director and CEO. -Handling all insurance issues related to our staff and vehicles. -Working with VP of Center Operations and Center Managers to create and implement new processes and protocols.-Responsible for creating a driver training program-Work with Human Resources & Center Managers to conduct interviews and hire new staff. - Coordinating daily transportation to/from the LIFE (Living Independence For the Elderly) Program as well as transportation to/from various medical appointments- Participating in daily Interdisciplinary Team meetings - Assessing the transportation needs for new and current LIFE participants- Completing and updating participant care plans- Communicate with various departments to make sure all transportation requests are fulfilled- Training new drivers upon hire and performing yearly re-training for current drivers- Completing driver competency reports- Ensuring all transportation activities are done within the guidelines set by various Pennsylvania and Federal regulatory programs.
