Areas of responsibility included vetting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new hires for all positions, while also serving as a point of contact for ongoing employee/customer concerns within the store. I was also the primary contact for day-to-day maintenance of the various POS workstations and other on-site hardware. Additionally, I managed the store budget, cash deposits, and all supply ordering.

Among other tasks, I performed client education on all things related to technology and Best Buy. I dealt with a variety of age groups, levels of expertise, and learning styles on a daily basis. This position sharpened my ability to communicate complex technical information in easily understandable ways, while also allowing me to expand my technical knowledge through the excellent Geek Squad training programs.

I was tasked with forming positive client relationships by establishing a customer need/want profile and then tailoring sales solutions to fit their unique experiences. My sales were supported and improved by a firm understanding of personal sales metrics, a drive to find holistic product support packages, and a P&L centered approach to delighting customers.

As a key-holding Assistant Manager, I was the only point-of-contact for all customer issues while on duty.

During the summer months of 2004 and 2006, I lived on-site at a camp for young boys between the ages of five and eleven and was responsible for making certain every participant felt valued as a part of the larger team while they achieved various objectives.
