As part of the Global Workplace Management team, my responsibilities are the development and operations of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and it's use in all aspects of desktop management globally.

As part of the Infrastructure Support team, my specific responsibilities were desktop management of the computers in the region, particularly focused on operating system deployment and application delivery.

I was owner of an IT consultancy specialising in designing, managing and implementing IT infrastructure solutions for small to medium sized businesses in the local area. Frequently managing projects with both internal staff and external contractors, the business also provided general support and on-going maintenance as required. I also directed the general administration of the IT consultancy business, including finance, marketing and office management.

I was responsible for providing management and maintenance of back-end servers and systems, with a primary focus on security and authentication. I managed the perimeter network, including publishing web servers and providing public access to publishing services. I also was responsible for the development and implementation Disaster Recovery procedures for Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 Servers, as well as the day to day administration and management of the Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 Servers. I also provided secondary administration and support for the Novell NetWare 5.1/6.0 environment.

I provided first and second line support to 600+ users over the Councils TCP/IP LAN and WAN, spanning multiple sites. I supported Microsoft Windows desktops on a mixed Windows Server/Novell NetWare environment, progressing to being responsible for desktop support as well as the Windows Servers and domains.
