A scientist by training, I am passionate about educating and empowering others with my 30+ years of negotiation, leadership and strategy experience. My focus is on improving business outcomes for my clients. I combine current academic business research with decades of hands-on business experience to deliver focused, dynamic, active learning for clients. This takes people beyond a simple presentation of facts, to think creatively and strategically about the application of their new knowledge and skills. In my coaching and courses I include many opportunities for participants to practice skills, role-play and analyse their own success. Work skills that become life skills.My professional journey with people, rather than molecules, began in Saigon, Vietnam. Where I was on the leadership team that grew the RMIT University Vietnam campus from 6 to 24 teaching staff and 30 to 500 students. Two years later, my young family returned to Melbourne, Australia. Six months later my wife gained an ESL teaching job in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. Once again, we moved to an exciting new country. My house husband duties continued and I joined my daughters’ school board. It was at a volunteer event where I met my mentor. She suggested I use my experiences to be a training consultant at Spearhead Training. I observed and learned; and before long was running courses in negotiation, leadership and corporate training, for multinational companies across Abu Dhabi and Dubai, U.A.E. for the next 9 years. Since then, I have run training sessions cross-culturally all around the world with Negotiation Partners, The Leadership Sphere and others.
