As CEO I am responsible for providing effective leadership and strategic direction for the organization in collaboration with the founder owners and senior leadership team driving the commercial and operational functions of the group.

I transitioned to the Board of Directors after stepping down as CEO following divestment of the ginger business assets.

I was integrally involved in the restructuring of Buderim Group Limited (formally Buderim Ginger Limited) and responsible for providing effective leadership and strategic direction for the organisation. I engaged with stakeholders at all levels and drove the commercial and operational functions of the group with a focus on increasing market share and improving margins by identifying and executing operational efficiencies and transformation across the business. Some key achievements included working on the acquisition and integration of the US branded retail macadamia business Royal Hawaiian Orchards, rebranding and repositioning of MacFarms macadamia and Buderim Ginger retail brands, and The Ginger Factory tourism park winning a number of awards.

As Company Secretary/Chief Financial Officer I was responsible for management of the Finance and Administration, IT and HR Departments and assisting the Chief Executive Officer and Board with strategic corporate development, investment and ensuring appropriate corporate governance and compliance requirements were met.Some highlights were assisting with the completion of successful capital raisings in June 2014 and December 2016 resulting in the raising of $37million and securing strategic investors, being involved in the acquisition of the 4000acre Hawaiian macadamia orchard, and implementation of business systems improvements.

As CEO I was responsible for providing effective leadership and strategic direction for the organisation in collaboration with the Managing Director and shareholders to drive the commercial and operational functions of the group.Some key achievements have been the rebranding of the Buderim Ginger product portfolio and winning of multiple tourism awards.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director, I was responsible for management of the Finance and Administration, IT functions and Company Secretarial duties for seven accommodation facilities based in Queensland with five located in the Bowen Basin providing services to the mining industry.

Fenix Fitness, a private equity backed management buy in venture, was one of the leading chains of large format fitness clubs in Victoria and on the Gold Coast providing full service health and fitness clubs to over 37,000 members. The group which started with the acquisition of four large format clubs grew to eleven clubs before being sold to Goodlife Fitness Clubs (Ardent Leisure) in October 2012. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director, I was responsible for management of the Finance & Administration and, IT functions of Fenix Fitness and, all operations of Outfit 24 a 24/7 model, and acted as Company Secretary for 13 group companies.

July 2007 – February 2008 Group Commercial ManagerReporting to the Managing Director, I was responsible for co-ordinating the commercial evaluation of new products and business diversification strategies.January 2006 - June 2007 Commercial Director - Medihoney Pty Ltd Medihoney developed, commercialised and marketed wound care and therapeutic products based on unique antibacterial honeys. Medihoney was the first company in the world to register honey as a medical device.Reporting to the Group Managing Director, I was responsible for all commercial operations of the company and working closely with the Scientific and Strategic Development Director preparing for the next phase of its growth in international markets. This included resolving funding objectives. November 2003 - December 2005 General Manager - Capilano Labonte Inc. Quebec, Canada A two-year General Management appointment initiating and managing key marketing and manufacturing strategies to develop the North American link in the Capilano global marketing direction. Responsible to Board of Directors for efficient and successful management of business operations to achieve goals and objectives of the business across all departments end to end including full P&L responsibility.January 1999 – November 2003 CFO / Financial Controller Responsible for all aspects of management of the Finance and Administration, IT and HR Departments, assisting the Managing Director and Board with strategic corporate development and investment objectives.This included international expansion and culminated in the acquisition of 50% of Labonte Honey Inc in Canada.April 1996 – December 1998 Group Accountant
