Responsible for enhancing the NYS Department of Health electronic certificate of need system. Core job duties are to maintain software documentation, design and develop new features within the system, perform integration of system components, provide estimates and tasks for all work performed. Technical environment includes Struts2, java script, JasperReports, web services, LDAP, and FileNet.

Responsible for developing user interface specification, software design document, and implementing and maintaining the HFIS application. Direct other developers, as necessary, to accomplish the main responsibilities of the development aspects of this project. Integrated web based reports into the application using Crystal Reports XI with java POJO connectivity. Performed basic database administration and developed stored procedures as part of the development effort. Maintained a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) using MS Project for tasks related to development.

Responsible for integrating a business rules based solution for research and adjustments to legacy systems at a midsized Midwestern bank. The integration consisted of the following hardware/software: Windows 2000, Sun Solaris 8, WebSphere Application Server V5, and Oracle 9i enterprise database.Primary developer for a small Java SWING based GUI administration tool for a health services application. The MVC design pattern was used in combination with java and SQL to develop this application.Primary developer of a web services library for communicating with a business rules engine. This library consisted of Apache SOAP and Apache Xerces open source libraries in combination with custom logic for marshaling and unmarshaling data objects used in communication with the business rules engine. Extensive use of reflection and parsing and generation of XML were used in development.
