I started wearing glasses and contact lenses when I was 14. Although they helped me see, I really didn’t like them. Years later, I first learned about LASIK laser vision correction and was elated. Long before this procedure was available in the U.S., it was available in Southeast Asia and Canada. I visited doctors in these other regions to learn about LASIK. Eventually, I was approached to participate in studies to get LASIK approved by the FDA in the United States, I jumped right in. And I have been specializing in Lasik ever since!I’ve performed over 30,000 Lasik, PRK, and SMILE procedures, and have enjoyed being on the forefront of this amazing technology. I finally had my own vision corrected by LASIK in 1996, and have corrected my son's vision, my brother's vision, and many in-law's vision.
