Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Includes all aspects of biotech production activities related to cell culture Assists/contributes in all areas of production as needed. Reviews, edits, completes, and revises completed batch records, Logbooks, and SOPs inaccordance with cGMP standards and compliant with written procedure. Ensures availability of production batch records for upcoming lots. Performs manufacturing level maintenance on equipment. Monitors production processes. Participates in equipment start-up, commissioning, and validation activities. Ensures equipment operational readiness Assist with troubleshooting in case of equipment failure. Gathers, trends, and analyzes process generated data. Participates in defining robust process parameters during routine manufacturingcampaigns. Works to optimize, trend, and report manufacturing process operational parametersduring routine manufacturing campaigns. Creates process evaluation reports, process transfer documentation, and processcharacterization presentations. Documents all training; Assist with training of new employees. Performs various tests and analytical procedures. Performs in-process sampling, Quality Control Chemistry and Quality ControlMicrobiology. Keeps process area stocked with essential equipment and components. Ensures all tasks are performed in a manner consistent with safety standards.

I worked as a Process Engineer during my Co-Op work placement at Merck. It was my first experience in industry and found it to be a challenging and rewarding placement. I was able to further my skills with using tools such as Minitab and Microsoft Word. I learned how to write Standard Operating Procedures and Method Statements, also getting the chance to work alongside other on site teams such as EHS and operations. Got the chance to work in team settings and on an individual basis, advancing my skills in both areas. Learned to use document management systems, creating and approving any documents required for use by operations team.

Worked as a busser/food runner during busy summer months. Learned to work in busy environment, running food, cleaning, helping to stock bar and kitchen. This job also gave me the opportunity to work on customer service skills

The job involved working functions in different areas of Chicago. This job helped me with adaptability as I was required to complete different tasks at each function. Tasks included serving food and drinks, working with stock, restaurant and function room set up.
