Leading an amazing group of Product Managers to bring to market a product that protects over 1.5 billion devices worldwide across Windows, Linux, Mac, Android and iOS.

Part of the Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) leadership team.

My role is to deeply understand my customer's digital transformation strategy and vision in order to pair the customer with the right technology to achieve their goals, whether that is Microsoft's or someone else's. And then once they have chosen a particular technology, I'm there to make sure they are successful by leveraging the full range of technical and non-technical resources at Microsoft. My customer's success in meeting their goals is my top priority.To that end, I am a technologist, covering Azure, Microsoft 365 (Office 365, Enterprise Mobility and Security and Windows), and Dynamics 365.I was honored to win the Gold Club award (~ top 3% of the sales organization worldwide) in my first year in this role.

Caradigm's IAM business was acquired by Imprivata in October 2017. I led the former Caradigm IAM Product Management, Engineering, Architecture and DevOps teams through the integration process into Imprivata.

Led team of 20+ FTE’s including a Director and VP. Responsible for Product/Program Management, Engineering, Architecture and Dev Ops. Owned the full lifecycle of multiple products - from early conception, to definition, build, test, release, and then finally to successful deployment at our customers.Planned for customer/prospect success as a member of the IAM Senior Leadership Team, working with Services, Support, Sales, and Account Management to make the hard decisions on product direction given limited resources and strong competitive threats.Drove team to plan for future SaaS cloud re-platforming to maintain competitiveness/relevancy and enable new capabilities.Developed product growth/acquisition strategy, leading to CEO’s decision to sell the team to Imprivata. Led the due diligence process that resulted in a successful transaction.Focused heavily on employee satisfaction and growing the capabilities of the team. Partnered with HR to appropriately recognize and reward them, including several high-level promotions.Note: Caradigm was broken up into two pieces and sold. My division was sold to Imprivata. The other division was sold to Inspirata, who still uses the Caradigm name.

Led team of 10+ FTE’s including Product/Program Managers, Engineers, Operations Engineers and a Technical Writer. Responsible for product functional design, customer-focused testing, Dev Ops and documentation. Owned the technical product strategy and engineering plan for both the Single Sign-On and Provisioning products, including proposing and receiving approval for the plan from senior leadership.Successfully shipped multiple major releases on-time and with high quality, addressing the most pressing new functionality needed while simultaneously maintaining high SLA rates for existing customer support issues.Transitioned team from waterfall to agile methodologies, developing a prioritized product backlog and moved to shipping incrementally instead of monolithically.Managed transitions between multiple off-shore vendors across products, forecasting budgets and tracking run rates.Drove team to re-launch a previously retired provisioning product, using a combination of off-shore and on-shore resources. Product became the growth engine for the team.

Continuation of the role below post creation of the Caradigm Joint Venture between Microsoft and GE Healthcare.

Responsible for defining product features for the Healthcare IAM solution (Microsoft acquired Sentillion)Ramped up the team on Microsoft product development processes. Assumed a leadership and mentorship role on the team across disciplines.Improving engineering excellence significantly across the team, leading to the first major high-quality release to be shipped by the team in years.Drove the feature sets for 50% of the Single Sign-On and Context Management product (Linux-based back-end server and Javascript-based UI Automation toolset/runtime). Acted as the Release Manager for the product, running Ship Room meetings and providing status to the broader company.

Responsible for defining product features for the application virtualization solution (Microsoft acquired Softricity)Managed a high-touch customer engagement program to drive product validation.Significantly improved the product’s performance, reliability and scalability, leading to the ability to change the distribution model for Microsoft Office by streaming it from the cloud.Helped to design and oversee the implementation of a datacenter-focused use of the technology.Proposed a project to create a new cloud-focused product offering to move on-premise datacenter applications to the Azure Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) model. Sought and secured headcount funding for developer and tester resources. Developed product vision and prototypes. Created project schedule and full ship plan. Used Scrum to drive the product implementation across disciplines. Shipped on schedule.United States Patent 9645839 granted: Stateful applications operating in a stateless cloud computing environment. Work similar to virtual containers.

Infrastructure consultant to Microsoft’s enterprise customers. Responsible for project scoping and contract generation, business/technical requirements gathering, architecting solutions, and deploying these technologies for and with Microsoft’s customers.Consistently received “very satisfied” customer satisfaction survey results and achieved/exceeded utilization targets. Received a national award after a customer CIO sent an email to Steve Ballmer because of the customer satisfaction provided.Led a large retailer through its infrastructure integration of another retailer that it acquired. Selected for the project for possessing the political skills needed to integrate the acquired company’s employees.Led a long-term, strategic project at an engineering company. Directly reported to the CIO and provided guidance on the implementation of Microsoft technologies.
