I grew up with a father who was a small business owner. He would share stories about his business ventures each night at the dinner table. Those discussions fostered an interest in business and real estate. While in college, I was encouraged by a family friend to attend law school. That set me down a path I hadn't anticipated. Law school was an incredible opportunity to learn something new. I quickly gravitated to courses on real estate and business law. I looked for any chance to gain experience in those areas. At the end of my law school career, I ended up working at three law firms handling a variety of real estate and business transactions. I also had the opportunity to work in county government and for the federal government handling real estate and environmental law matters. In 2006, I landed my first full-time job as an attorney at Hall Render, the nation's largest health care focused law firm, in their real estate service line. It's been an incredible ride. While at Hall Render, I've had the opportunity to work on real estate and business transactions for hospitals, health care providers and health care investors across the country. I enjoy helping clients buy, sell and develop hospital and health care facilities. I also enjoy working with clients on joint venture transactions between hospitals and health care providers.
