I am the Head of Research at Shaw and Partners and provide research coverage of the Resources Sector with a focus on Emerging Companies. I started my finance career in the early 1990s as an Oil and Gas analyst with BZW Australia. I was Head of Research for Morgan Stanley Australia in the mid 2000’s and helped grow Morgan Stanley from a start-up in the Australian equity market to what is a Top 5 firm today. I joined CBA in 2009 to start-up an Institutional Equities business and was Head of Research from 2011-2013.I am one of the few analysts in the Australian Equity Market who has covered multiple sectors - I have covered Oil and Gas, Major Miners, Telecoms, Infrastructure and Emerging Resources. I have been Top 3 rated in major institutional investor surveys for Oil & Gas, Telecoms and BHP/RIO coverage.I am now bringing my passion for equity markets and the resources sector to Shaw and Partners to establish one of Australia's leading Emerging Company Capital Markets teams.andrew.hines@shawandpartners.com.au
