About Andrew Harrison
Andrew Harrison BA (Hons), MA, DMS, MBA, associate OPUS, member ISPSO, FRSA, a director of the learning studio has worked for the past 30 years in a variety of management and organisational development roles in UK and international service system change. He is an associate of Tavistock Consulting, Warwick Manufacturing Group, University of Birmingham, the Leadership Centre, and Munich University of Applied Sciences.He graduated in 1980 (Oxford University) with an Honours Degree in English Language and Literature and worked as a journalist, trainer and administrator before running an employment project for single homeless people in London. This led to the establishment of a training and furniture recycling project employing and training 70 people. Following this he worked all over the UK, eastern USA, Russia, Hungary, Italy, with partnerships from the Balkans – currently he is involved in projects in the UK and Europe, exploring wasy in which to reval the full value of system change in networks and organisations. He holds senior practitioner status in mentoring and coaching (EMCC) and is a member of the International Association of Facilitators.He is an experienced facilitator – especially of large group systems. He co-founded the learning studio through which you have the chance for studio learning – with the overtones of messy, provisional, testing practice – such as one would enjoy in an art or music studio. In this work he makes extensive use of psycho-dynamic and systems’ theories. He has co-developed Revaluation, a highly participative way of capturing and appreciating value in all kinds of settings. He has been a non executive of many arts and housing organisations – recently he directed Screen West Midlands, the regional office of the UK Film Council. As an experienced fine artist, he has recently founded artworks-studio, to investigate ways in which art can be used in organisations.
