I am a seasoned and well-rounded executive with experience in media, technology, sports and operations. I bring an eagerness to learn and an ability to help teams and businesses improve. I have a passion for deal-making, strategy, and optimizing performance. In my current role as Chief Operating Officer at StreamLayer, I am working to transform the way we all consume live video by adding audience engagement and interactivity to the viewing experience. We are focused on helping media companies, teams and leagues innovate their digital video and interact with their fans in a unique way. Prior to joining StreamLayer I was Chief Administrative Officer at EZLinks Golf, where I was oversaw a diverse array of corporate functions - including legal, finance, HR, and strategy. Most notably I spearheaded an acquisition strategy that resulted in NBC Sports purchasing the company, in a deal that was a huge win for shareholders. Prior to joining EZLinks, I was the SVP of Strategy and Business Affairs at KemperSports/KemperLesnik, where I had responsibility for legal, HR, marketing, and corporate partnerships. I created new lines of revenue and had P&L responsibility for two important properties under company management. Prior to KemperSports, I worked at the intersection of sports and technology with NBC Sports/Golf Channel/GolfNow, where I oversaw the acquisition strategy and organic growth plan that resulted in GolfNow.com growing into the most successful business in the NBCUniversal digital portfolio. My legal career started in Sidely Austin's commercial litigation department, where I specialized in matters involving The Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act, including representing museums in litigation concerning priceless artwork. I am most proud of my work with the Equal Justice Initiative, serving as post-conviction appellate counsel for an Alabama Death Row inmate. Before law school, I traveled the world as Director of Development at The Institute for International Mediation and Conflict Resolution in Washington, D.C., and then created youth leadership programs for Chicago youth at Alternatives, Inc. My claim to fame is earning an “A” from University of Chicago Law School Professor Barack Obama. My most notable life achievements are my beautiful wife and three children.
