Remote EPMO Sr Project Manager / Scrum Master assigned to lead five IT teams responsible for five different system utilizing a hybrid mix of waterfall and agile processes. Assigned to projects to successfully manage and complete the Key Infrastructure deliverables: NetApp SAN Storage Replacement, Network Core Lease Replacement, Cisco Lease Replacement, Database Platform Upgrades - Oracle &SQL, Disaster Recovery for Car Care, and Active Directory Clean-up. Three of the five teams utilized agile methodology, other two teams followed waterfall, and all reporting and executive level communications followed PMP standards. After initial review of the timelines for deliverables for projects in process, and open discussion with our lead contractors assisting on the implementation, needed to enter a change request to extend the project four months. Established a meeting cadence with separate meetings with all five teams weekly, and one meeting with only Project owner and Team Leads to establish integration of task dependencies and deliverable for other teams, and delivering Project status including identified Risks/Issues weekly, and a monthly detailed project review of tasks/timelines/financial with the CIO. Afterwards, another Change Request submitted to extend project to end of year 2023 because of resource constraints and system constraints, all key deliverable were complete on time and within budget.In 2023, the EPMO became responsible for collecting all business and IT project demands for any project requests for the 2024 Calendar year. Assigned to lead three business teams and two IT teams in capturing project objective, scope, financials, and resource needs for all projects to start in 2024. After successfully walking the five teams through over 70 project data gathering process in order to present to Executive Leadership Team for approval. The new Scrum team is tasked with on-boarding all internal systems application into Vanguard’s new identity management system SailPoint IIQ and upgrading it to Version 7, while the other team working on upgrading CA API Gateway to version 10. I am assisting the new teams in establishing an agile process (from Sprint 0) other teams can adopt to successfully transition from an agile/waterfall hybrid to a pure agile environment. I am also assisting Sr Leadership Team in establishing an Agile Release Train with a 4 sprint Program Increment Planning time box and utilizing three week sprint cycles. This to all support the Vanguard’s Enterprise Security and Fraud initiatives. One scrum team is utilizing two weeks sprints to support the Comcast All-Digital online web experience supporting over 28 million cable customer. This scrum team morphed into a Kanban team focused on coding and delivering quarterly features supporting new on-line functionality, while maintaining and improving current customer experience. Another scrum team, starting at Sprint 0, is taking the same code base and providing an omni-channel solution to support the over 40 thousand sales/support agents.
