Software Engneer / Validation Engineer
As a software engineer I initially worked on the “Switch Interfaces” for screen pops and user data, these included : IBM’s Callpath, Cisco, Genesys, Dialogic CIM, Chrysalis, Avaya EContact EDU. I also wrote the Cisco Geotel (GED125) Interface to register VHT on the Cisco network as a VRU. I created a customized Cisco phone display of queue statistics. When Siemens deprecated their RS232 data feed of queue statistics I employed Voice Technology Group hardware card, emulating manager telephones, from which I screen scraped queue statistics. Created the first Windows Version of Virtual Hold. I created a "Dr. Watson" intercept to email exception reports and a system health monitoring/restart application and a RTU License Keys mechanismI spent some time in Tier 3 support and more recently as a Validation Engineer. These duties led to: A TCP socket interface application to automate Hammer testing. A Voice Prompt Analysis tool. Real time log monitor(s) as a service w/socket interface or a JSON Web interface. A ruby SQL to JSON file interface for Chef configurations. Genesys Agent & Phone Controller to emulate agent activity. Test Call Generator with validation against: voice, logs, SQL DB, and the VHT network interface. Languages: Ruby, C#, .Net, CPPJenkins job setup and configuration.Empirix Hammer and Cyara call testing tool experience,Asterisk PBX for Test Call generation Agile training and experience.
Software Engineer
SAS Programmer for Roadway Express in the IT and Marketing departments. In the Data Security department I wrote RACF tools written in SAS to sync personal movements. In the Shipping/Routing table generation and automation.
Software Engineer
"Telecase" replaced a Unix system/applications with OS2 system to log AT&T System 85 SMDR data from a 9600 baud RS232 data feed. Data was then FTP'ed to the mainframe for nightly billing processing and summarization with a SAS application. Reason: The Unix system could only handle 65K records a day. "Telebase" was a TCP server application, written in C, running on an OS2 system, read a real time RS232 data feed from a System 85 switch. The data was then made available through a TCP/IP server to a C application on the mainframe. This functionality was later provided by Lucent as a MAPD card in the switch. The "Telebase" TCP clients were mainframe C applications which provided screen pop capability to IMS and CICS customer applications This replaced a direct feed of 9600 baud data into a "dedicated" mainframe channel, which worked but a dedicaion channels was not good. I registered "Telebase" as trademark the the Oldum and Oldum law offices.
Customer Support Engineer
The MICS (MVS Information Control System) product processed the IBM mainframe system and application usage data (SMF, RMF, IMS, CICS, etc.) for performance statistics and usage billing. As a customer support engineer I worked with customers to configure the system, customize reports, identify and report software bugs and/or feature request.
Senior Software Engineer Analysts, Ipacs Division
At EDS I installed and customized their MICS/IPACS (IPC Performance and Costing Sstem) at the Rochester NY site. I then managed the consolation of that MICS installation, plus the MICS systems from MI, PA, and MD sites into the new VA site. I gained respect of "EDS Corporate MICS" by discovering and alerting them of issues with the billing data update before they did. Examples: a change they did to a date field would cause failures in January w/o a leading zero. Another time, they made account field changes, but omitted factoring one of the key accounting table files.
Systems Programmer, Systems Performance And Tuning Division
After working as a III contractor for one year I transitioned to AT&T American Trans-tech.The work duties were the same.
Systems Engineer, Consulting Division
As an III contractor I worked at AT&T American Transtech, Jax Fl.I used my SAS expertise to assist the installation and configuration of the MICS product. The MICS product processed the IBM mainframe system and application usage data (SMF, RMF, IMS, CICS, etc.) for performance statistics and usage billing.I created a tape drive utilization report which graphically documented "concurrent drive usge" periods which justified dropping the lease on about 30% of the tape drives.
