The Global Markets Data Quality team was at a very early stage and my role was to set up the processes and structure to allow quality checks to be set up and automated. Alteryx was the software used for this task as it is very quick and cost effective to implement. I set up the technical architecture for the Data Quality team which included setting up the Alteryx server infrastructure and creating end to end process workflows in Alteryx to monitor data quality. This was successfully handed over to an offshore team, including a couple of months of training.

Built a team from scratch to roll out Tableau across the front office Global Markets business of BNP Paribas investment bank. I recruited and led 8 Tableau developers to replace the incumbent Business Objects system with automated and permissioned Tableau reports for the management, marketers and traders. - Increased the report user base from under 10 users per week to over 550 users per week - Reports used in over 25 different countries covering Europe, Asia, North and South America, Asia, Australia and AfricaWorked very closely with the different business lines to understand the information they need and deliver value in their reports and very closely with IT to ensure they were able to supply the data required to give the business the information they wanted. Dashboards were designed and built to support the maximum number of users with 'in-report' permissions and also to ensure efficiency with data updates as well as consistency in look and feel across the different business lines.Report usage from the business showed a strong upward trend every month, demonstrating they were supplied with a quality product. The project was successfully handed over to the internal business to maintain.

Installation of a new reporting suite, Tableau Server, and development of an initial set of MI dashboards for a large UK based insurance broker to be used by over 500 users, from branch managers up to the board. This included training their internal staff data team how to use Tableau to build reports and also train the report users how to use Tableau from a user perspective.I managed a project to design, build and deploy a web based application monitor compliance for a financial services client. This included improving the data management and subsequently creating and implementing new work processes to ensure the future integrity of the data.Designed and built a data warehouse in SQL, with ETL using SSIS, to track the complaints and resolution of the complaints of mis-sold insurance products for a large bank.Developed a set of Excel based financial models to redress customers mis-sold financial products for a large international bank. This included gathering requirements, documenting the models and training developers in how to build/maintain the models.Worked on optimising the routes for a French based ferry company to improve their profitability.

Development and implementation of a suite of reports for use by all levels of the business, plus evangelist of self service BI throughout the organisation. I was responsible for all reporting on the server from creating them, ensuring they contained relevant and up to date information and encouraging usage amongst the business teams.In addition I worked in a hybrid role bridging the gap between the business teams and BI/DBA teams. My role included project managing a data warehouse redesign and build including gathering and documenting requirements the data warehouse has to deliver. Other responsibilities include forecasting and budgeting; ad-hoc data analyses and report creation in both SSRS and Excel; maintenance of a CRM system I designed and built used throughout the EU business; and the training of colleagues in a number of different countries in Tableau and Excel. I also worked as a web analyst for the first couple of years in the business.
