As a junior in the Accounting program at the University at Buffalo, I have an anticipated graduation date of June 2026 with a Bachelor's degree. I plan to pursue a master's program to fulfill the 150 credit-hours requirement for the CPA license by June 2027.My involvement with the University at Buffalo Accounting Association taught me the importance of many principles, particularly integrity and compassion. These became integral values in my role as a Volunteer Tax Preparer with the VITA program. Working with a variety of client situations gave me an individualized perspective for each person's situation, while recognizing that those two principles must be applied to the same high standard for each tax return.I recently became a candidate for Beta Alpha Psi, where I am committed to expanding my understanding of accounting principles through continued involvement with VITA as well as other community service opportunities. I also have been participating in the organization's technical events, which has provided me with insight into individual firms and the accounting profession as a whole. My academic career has given me proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as well as foundational knowledge of financial statements and GAAP. I am eager to apply these skills to real-world settings and I am confident that I will thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
