Oversee investor relations by supervising annual audit, tax, budget, and forecast; monthly financial reporting; and quarterly distributions using waterfall calculations, financial analysis, and holdback summary. Manage risk by carefully reading and reviewing various legal documents, creating and implementing internal controls and catching fraud inside and outside the company, and ensuring annual or quarterly government and lender compliance requirements are promptly and properly met.-Manage all construction/development portfolio of the William Warren Group. Review and supervise senior construction accountant’s transactional accounting (e.g., bank transactions, ACHs, and wire transfers) and monthly financial reporting of 20+ active and pre-construction self-storage properties, as well as properties placed in service.-Trained and mentored corporate, construction, and property accountants, as well as accounting managers and senior accountants on company policies, procedures, and responsibilities to maximize potential and outcomes for investors and the department.-Screened, interviewed, and made hiring decisions for property accountant candidates.-Assist with corporate month-end close by overseeing allocation and posting of various management fees, bank fees, and developer fees due from 300+ managed self-storage properties. Also report, analyze, and collect such fees from the properties. Assist with corporate budgets. Manage corporate receivables from preliminary projects and Due To/Due From (DTDF) various properties and related entities.
