Led a distributed team of developers and qualityassurance engineers, working closely with product management and support to ensure customersatisfaction at both the end user and partner vendor levels. Developed and rolled out new featuresalong with maintaining compatibility and support for the rapidly evolving iOS and Android devices andoperating systems. Coordinated with our internal SDK development team as well as developmentand testing resources from the desktop application group to ensure feature parity across platforms.Drove the generation and collection of analytics in our apps, including moving away from an in-housedeveloped collector when it proved to be incapable of processing the data. Increased the frequencyof our mobile app releases in order to promote greater success. Implemented a beta programleveraging TestFlight and Google Play to provide early access to updated versions of our apps inorder to solicit user feedback, soak new features, and verify bug fixes prior to making the softwaregenerally available.

CounterPath acquired NewHeights Software and FirstHand Technologies in 2007 and 2008, leadingto the inclusion of mobile devices into our application development portfolio. Symbian, WindowsMobile, and BlackBerry OS based telephony applications were added and I was tasked primarily withthe management of testing and rollout of the VoIP based applications on a variety of mobile devicesfrom a range of manufacturers. By 2010, we had begun development on Android and iOS, eventuallyleading to a focus on those platforms as dictated by the market.
