I am a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a former Special Agent for the United States Secret Service, and a former South Carolina State Representative on behalf of Beaufort County. During my tenure as a State Representative I became South Carolina’s leading voice for families and children.  As Chairman of the K-12 Education Subcommittee, I worked tirelessly to improve educational opportunity for each student, educational choice for all families, and accountability in every classroom.   Throughout the course of my Secret Service career, I supervised and directed the planning and implementation of security arrangements for the president, vice president, and foreign heads of state.  In 2007, I resigned my post with the Secret Service and continued my focus on protecting Americans and their business from terrorism at home and abroad by launching a small business, Advance Point Global (APG), INC. In 2016, I joined Southern Strategy Group as a partner. I am also a member of the American Society of Industrial Security, the Advisory Council to the Institute for Child Success, and the Association of Former Agents – United States Secret Service. I serve as a trustee of the Walker Foundation (South Carolina’s School for the deaf and blind), and the Free Enterprise Foundation.
