After 2 years, I decided to move back to architecture as a Lead Solution Architect managing a team of 6 Solution Architects and chaired the Technical Design Authority (TDA). I also became a proud member of the bank's Equity, Diversity and Inclusion network and Well-being champions group.

During the Cloud Programme I was successfully promoted to a newly created Cloud Platform Manager role, where I managed a team of 6 DevOps Engineers.

After the secondment, I was offered and accepted a role as a Technical Architect. During this role I authoured High Level Solution Designs, conducted Proof of Concepts and was an active Technical Design Authority (TDA) member. I was also selected to be the technical lead and architect for a Cloud Programme and End User Computing project.

I joined C. Hoare & Co. as a IT Wintel Engineer, where I specialised in End User Computing which consisted of Citrix, AppSense and Microsoft technologies using HP thin clients, and was the technical lead for a Citrix XenApp and Exchange migration. During this role I was selected for a six month secondment in the IT Architecture team.

I continued to work for SEEDA, where my role changed to Senior Technical Analyst. I was the technical lead for a significant virtualisation project where their infrastructure was migrated from a decentralised bare metal deployment to a consolidated HP Blade architecture, with a software defined SAN from SANMelody and Citrix Xenserver as the hypervisor. During this project we also migrated from Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 to XenApp 6.0, replacing desktops for Linux based thin clients, and utilising Citrix Provisioning Server.

After two years working as a contractor I accepted a permanent Senior System Administrator role at SEEDA, providing design and third line support of their infrastructure which included technologies from; Microsoft, Citrix, Hewlett-Packard (HP), Watchguard and Blackberry.

In 2003 I immigrated to the United Kingdom and worked as contractor through Badenoch & Clark for the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA) as a Helpdesk Analyst, supporting over 350 colleagues including remote workers. During which I was the technical lead for a Windows 2000 to Windows XP migration project, across three sites.

This was my IT position after leaving school, where I learnt the fundamentals of end user computing support. I provided quotations for new desktop and laptop builds, and supported small businesses in the local area.
